Meet The Sponsors: IMC

120 years of expertise, with solutions designed around the needs of today’s foodservice consultants.
For FCSI consultants, equipment specification is about more than performance. Products need to integrate into the overall design, support efficient workflows, meet project requirements and deliver dependable performance throughout their working life. IMC’s expanding portfolio has been developed with these considerations in mind.
Founded in 1906, IMC has 120 years of experience developing equipment for professional foodservice environments, with expertise spanning food preparation, waste management, bar systems and refrigeration.
Today, the business is combining this heritage with renewed investment in product development and closer engagement with consultants, dealers and operators.
A major recent development is Cirrus – Cooling at a Higher Level, IMC’s new professional refrigeration portfolio. For consultants, Cirrus provides a comprehensive range from a single supplier, including refrigerated chef bases, upright refrigerators and freezers, counter fridges and blast chillers.
The range combines R290 refrigeration technology, precise digital temperature control, stainless steel construction and easy-clean designs, providing practical specification options when considering food safety, hygiene, energy efficiency, durability and whole-life operating costs.
For bar projects, Optimum by IMC takes the company’s established underbar expertise a step further. Its modular format allows consultants to design workstations around the individual operation, available footprint and service style – from hotels and cocktail bars to restaurants, pubs, stadiums and entertainment venues.
The system includes sink units, hand-wash stations, glass refreshers, insulated ice wells, cocktail stations, shelving and till stations, enabling consultants to create coordinated bar layouts from a single modular platform. Two working heights and depths provide further flexibility, while its modular construction allows systems to be expanded or reconfigured as operational requirements change.
Manufactured to order in the UK with a standard three-week lead time, Optimum can also support consultants and contractors working to tight project programmes, particularly on bespoke installations and refurbishment projects.
IMC is also placing greater emphasis on working with consultants at the specification stage. Under director Neil Coombes, the business is strengthening relationships across the consultant and dealer community, with industry feedback helping to shape future product development.
For FCSI members, this collaborative approach means access to a supplier focused not simply on selling equipment, but on understanding the brief and providing practical solutions that support efficient, well-designed and commercially considered foodservice environments.
As IMC celebrates 120 years, its focus is firmly on the future: combining proven engineering expertise with fresh thinking to give consultants greater specification choice, flexible solutions and equipment designed around the realities of modern foodservice operation.
