Welbilt expands sales team to support customer network
GUILDFORD, September 2023: Welbilt has announced three appointments within the sales team to give additional customer support and expand business opportunities. Two area sales managers and a key account manager have joined the team with immediate effect and are already getting stuck into their new roles, meeting existing customers and planning business development opportunities.

Pere Taberner, Vice President West Europe and Africa at Welbilt Inc., welcomes the three new starters, “Our focus for this year has been firmly on supporting our customers and ensuring Welbilt is clearly positioned as the leading company for kitchen equipment within the UK market. To help us to do this, we have appointed John Balchin as Area Sales Manager Midlands, Michael Ashton as Area Sales Manager North East and Cumbria, and Bill Perry as Key Account Manager. I am delighted to welcome them to the team and am sure they will each bring considerable experience and knowledge to strengthen the Welbilt team.”
The new starters have extensive expertise in account management and business development within the UK market. Bill Perry, joins as Key Account Manager with over 10 years of industry experience at both PKL Group and various food start ups; Bill will be reporting to Alistair Farquhar, National Sales Manager UK&I. Michael Ashton starts as Area Sales Manager North East and Cumbria following several years at Grande Cuisine and Pasta King in similar roles. And, John Balchin will be a great addition to the team as Area Sales Manager Midlands having just spent nearly 9 years with Coca-Cola European Partners, in sales and business development roles. Both Michael and John report to Jonathan Butler, Sales Director UK&I.
